Kicking Off Convention Season with Big Ideas, Bigger Connections, and a Lot of Fun at FAVR

Wow! Convention season has officially kicked off, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start than at the FAVR convention! This was my first time attending, and it had that perfect balance – not too big, not too small – just the right size for meaningful conversations. The energy was buzzing with incredible people, mostly representing the best of the Florida vacation rental industry.
I had some amazing talks, catching up with old friends and colleagues while also making new connections that I’m excited to grow. The recognition Boom is getting from industry leaders truly blew me away. The conversations we had about the revolution we’re creating as the world’s first AiPMS were inspiring and affirming. The momentum is building, and it’s exhilarating to see the impact we're making!
One standout moment was meeting Chad Blankenship in person for the first time. His insights opened my eyes to needs I hadn’t even considered, and it’s such a pleasure to engage with someone who has such a deep understanding of the industry.
And then there was Dennis Goedheid, always coming up with wild ideas! This time, he asked me to pitch why property managers should use Boom… while on a rollercoaster! After a bit of convincing, he even got Alex O. Husner to join in on the fun, and let me tell you, it was wild. It’s always a blast when you combine business with that kind of excitement.
On top of it all, our new swag was a massive hit! Everyone loved the new Boom hats, and I have to admit – I’m a little obsessed with them too.
It’s moments like these that remind me why I love this industry so much. The fun, the connections, and the shared passion for innovation. Also, a special shoutout to Alex and me – we both share a knack for saying “yes” more than we probably should!
